Stéphane Ogier La Rosine, Syrah, Rhone, France
Tasting note:
The nose has a lovely floral lift, with cranberry, raspberry and leafy notes. The palate has a silky elegance, fine tannins, bright fruit with a hint of oak rounding things of very nicely.
Producer:
Stéphane Ogier's "La Rosine" Syrah is more Côte-Rôtie than humble IGP. But then, Côte-Rôtie is where both his cellar and numerous, tiny vineyard parcels are based. Stéphane is an accomplished winemaker and has unsurprisingly made a wine which is fine, complex, long and savoury.
Vintage: 2020
ABV: 14.5%
